If you want to be successful in business, it’s vital to create a buzz around your product. But getting people excited is more complicated than you might think. People have to know why a product is useful, for starters. Then they have to understand why it’s relevant to their lives. And, finally, if they’re going to part with their money, they have to experience desire for the product too. Doing all of this is easier said than done. So how do you excite your customers?

Make It Simple

Customers don’t want to have to expend lots of effort learning why your product is valuable. They just want to be able to press a button and for it to work. Too many businesses think that they can cajole their customers into expending a lot of effort to get the best out of their product. But all that ends up happening is that they lose business to more seamless services.

Here’s what to do. Aim to make your product as simple as Amazon’s “One-click” buying service. Customers should be able to use your product with a minimum of effort.

Bring Your Message To Life

All the big companies that want to get people excited about their products do great presentations. For example, companies in the tech space make a point about laying out their product roadmap. They show people how much better future products will be compared to what’s on offer today.

But bringing that message to life is tough. Fortunately, you can have great presentations done by companies like Buffalo7 that create a buzz around your product. Getting your presentation right is essential if you want to convince people you have something special to offer.

Cultivate Mystery

In today’s age of social media and the internet, there’s not much information that can’t be found with a simple internet search. That’s why it’s so exciting to customers when they tease their products. High-tech car companies, like Tesla, do it all the time. And so too do the big phone manufacturers, like Samsung and Apple. Heck, even graphics card makers like AMD do it.

But why bother? Well, it all comes down to the mystery. Just having something that is unknown gets people talking on social media and forums. Everybody wants to throw in their two cents about what they gleaned from the teaser. And this starts to generate a buzz. Before you know it, the whole internet lights up with conversations about a certain product. Of course, all of this is great advertising for any product. And it all originated from something so simple. Plus, the conversations are likely to be carried out in the places on the internet visited by your customers. So it’s a great way for you to target your particular audience.

Break Norms

Breaking the norm is important if you want your product to excite people. Just look at what Dove did with their famous skincare range. Instead of featuring professional models in the advert, they used ordinary women. This broke every convention in the skincare advertising industry. And it led to Dove having huge success with its skincare line.
