It’s called a landing page, yet the people that visit your site are aborting and going elsewhere. It isn’t a nice problem to deal with, but it is a problem that you must solve. If you let it fester, the site and the company will suffer a terrible fate as sales, revenue and profit will all drop. So, instead of bouncing, the customers have to stick the landing. Here are the reasons customer bounce and what you can do to fix the issue.

Slow Loading Pages

The average web user doesn’t have the time to wait more than four seconds for a page to load. No, in all seriousness, according to that is how long they will wait before they bounce. People nowadays are impatient and know that they can go elsewhere and get a similar service, so they don’t mind cutting the cord. A good website, then, will load up instantaneously so as not to give the customer a chance to bounce. That applies to every page from the landing page to the contacts page.

Bad Navigation

Apart from a lack of speed, they also hate complex navigation. And thinks there is a good reason why – it’s annoying! Everyone has used a site that is almost impossible to browse, and you wouldn’t have lasted more than four seconds because it is so frustrating. Again, browsers haven’t got the time or patience to work out where everything is and how they get there. They want it spoon-fed to them so that they don’t have to do any of the work, which is what you need to do. With that in mind, make the pages stand out from one another with tags and headings so that customers know how to get from A to B.

Lack Of Professionalism

What do both of the points have in common? They smack of a site that hasn’t gone with a web design expert. There is a reason rival firms use, and it’s because they know an outside firm has the expertise to do a good job. Plus, they understand that this will reflect in the final version of the site, the version the customers will use. Of course, it seems as if you can do all the hard work and save a fortune thanks to WordPress. The truth is that these sites don’t tailor the site for your benefit, and neither are they unique. What’s more important is that you are in control, and you’re a novice.

Adverts And Promos

Okay, okay, we get it! The website is doing well, and advertisers want to piggyback off of your success. For that reason, the new strategy is to use advertisers to make money from the site. Congratulations, but you should think before you act. Sure, they are an excellent source of income, especially if they supplement the e commerce side of the business. However, too many adverts will turn off the consumer and force them to bounce.

One or two adverts is fine, but seven or eight is too much.
