How to easily save £916.50 per year

Save nearly £1,000

Apologies! The title of this article is misleading! There isn't going to be a big reveal as to how you can save over £900 per year. There isn't going to be any secret way to get rich! I'm not going to tell you anything that you're probably not already aware of. However, I am going to tell you to do something that you're probably ignoring the opportunity to do.

Saving questions

But first done questions:

Do you work?

Do you commute to work?

Do you get up early for work?

Do you work hard?

Do you deserve small pleasure for the hard work that you do?

Do you deserve a coffee?

Does it matter that the coffee comes from a Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Pret A Manger or any other generic coffee shop?

If all the answers to the above questions were yes then read on. I think it's reasonable to have answered yes to all of the above questions...except the final one. Does the coffe ehave to come from a shop?

You may reason that coffee from the office is granulated and tastes crap or else is non-existent. However, I was shocked when I saw the price of the average coffee - £3.90 for a large! That's £19.50 per week if you buy just one each day of the working week. At 47 working weeks of the year that's £916.50...on coffee! That's a crazy amount to spend.

Why not save yourself the money?

It's very simple. You could invest in a cafe tiere (French coffee press) and buy bags of ground coffee beans to enjoy some proper coffee. Alternatively if you're a real coffee snob/ connoisseur you could buy the actual beans and grind your coffee beans for fresh coffee, It'll likely taste better as you'll make it to your own preferences (strength and milk levels) and you'll save yourself a small fortune over your work lifetime.
