Let’s have a look at some of the ways that you can tackle the current times as a self-employed blogger:

Reach Out To Other Bloggers

Remember you are not alone in this. We are all going through quick and tough changes in the current situation worldwide. The blogger community is a very strong and supportive one and you should never forget that. Reach out to your blogger contacts and see if they have any ideas that are working to help secure their workload. Have any of them had to deal with their workload dropping? Have they managed to find alternative work? Have they put any future plans into place that might help you too? If you’ve had any great ideas it’s polite for you to share these around too. This is a time where the supportive community of blogging will be able to help each other to stay strong and remain positive.

Don’t Forget About Events In The Future

Although socializing is at an all-time minimum and we have been told to avoid it as much as possible, it doesn’t mean that you can’t think about them in the future. Times may get worst before they get better but there is always a bright future to look forward to. If you have had to cancel an event you have planned with live experience, don’t write it off completely. Put your hard-work in your back pocket and communicate with the event management company who will be able to advise you on how to rearrange and postpone. Make sure you keep the hype up about your event and inform any attendees about the delay but also inform them that it will still take place in the future and that you will keep them updated. A great way to keep people informed is to create a regular newsletter about it.

Try To Adapt

If your main income is taking a hit because the work you usually complete is based around things like travel, outfit posting, etc which highly relies on being able to travel, socialize and find amazing locations for shoots, then you may need to find ways to adapt your content for the meantime. Maybe pose the question to your followers and see what they would like to see, ask your collaborations if they would like you complete anything different o normal or what might help them too if you are still struggling to remember that you have amazing writing skills and it might be possible for you to write for other blogs or complete administration, SEO work online, etc.

These are just three ideas to help you through this difficult time as a self-employed blogger, so you have any other ideas that might help? Please share them in the comments below.
